The Athenian Lecture on Geotechnical Engineering is the second most important institution of HSSMGE and is delivered by a distinguished Geotechnical Engineer, either of Greek or foreign nationality. The inaugural Athenian Lecture was delivered in 2000 by Harry Poulos.
